Kooralbyn was the first golf resort built in Australia.
It is widely known as being one of the most natural golf courses in the country. Since 1986 it has been included in every national rating list and there's good reason. The course offers a superb combination of challenging holes with dramatic views of some of Australia's genuine landscape. It was the timeless piece of virgin country that inspired Scottish golf architect, Desmond Muirhead, to create this masterpiece, a legacy for all golfers to enjoy.

Copperhead
Kooralbyn is part of the Aboriginal
Dreamtime Legends, it means "The land of the copperhead snake", one of the most venomous
snakes in Australia. Every Thursday the course is set to it's most deadly test in absolute championship conditions. Every player returning a score better
than net par 72 wins a dozen new golf balls. Commencing in February 1984, it is the longest
running weekly open event in Australia.
Every Thursday winner is invited to the annual championship each February.
